Listed Buildings

With the required permissions in place, windows in listed buildings can have their lead and glass renewed as necessary. We use the appropriate restoration glass to match the existing and then age the lead and solder so the windows are in good shape but do not necessarily look new. If the leaded panels are mounted onto or into metal frames, we can refurbish these as well and if mounted directly into the stonework, we carefully remove the panel by hand, repair the stained glass window and then reinstall. Missing tie bars are replaced using black iron which can be left with its natural finish or primed and painted in satin black.
